So yeah, New SF3 is out. Shit is pretty cash right now. Shame they took away the Noise Kaizou Gear and stuff, but it's expected to be unlockable via Downloadable Content. So did anyone else get this? (Repto, I'm looking at you mainly) I could use some brothers and rivals.

Yeah I just bought it today, for some reason it feels like it takes long as hell to get rolling compared to other BN/SF games. I mean after the tutorial crap was out of the way you basically were sent directly to the area where the first crisis with a boss fight occurred. I got to the point where I first had to go to bed, and now I have to dick around with some tournament before getting to what I presume is the first "level", that rocket thing, since that magnet dude's sprite and name rang a bell back when I read some japanese stuff.

I assume it's gonna be like the first SF in which most bosses are innocent navis (fuck wizards) that get possessed by aliens?

I need to get my own goddamn comp back so I can use IIRC again. I wanna get Kite, Forte, Omni, etc as brothers plus I'm the go-to guy for attributes and quirks for all those chips no one uses past first glance.

Oh yeah, I bought Black Ace in case you were wondering (lol you were gonna ask eventually)

For the time being I hate the new in-battle chip interface, but the bit about supports does look like it redeems it by a lot. Still, having three of them in a "row" and not being able to use them all is pretty gay.

Just beat first boss, mildly disappointed that the "levels" look like ordinary wave roads. I really liked how SF1 made them appear like unique areas of their own rather than putting some gimmicks on a generic network of paths.

Ok, well I beat the game in like 2 days. Plot was your average Megaman plot. Nothing too good. Especially since the translation for it sucks. You should really get on IRC, we have a shitload of people playing it. Me, NYX, luis, Feraligatr, Novkris, Travis, Omni to name a few.

Anywho, I just got all the standards and beat post game. I am raging through this game like a crack addict. Collecting Mega chips are hard as fuck. Seeing how the ghosts disappear once you fight their V2 near End-game. So it's suggested you fight their ghost forms because you won't be able to once you beat the game. Locking you on on their V1/V2 chips. Forcing you to find the bosses via Warning Battles. :/

That does sound pretty lame, so I'll try to get that done. Only ghost I've found is Spade. Right now I'm at the Waza building.

I've warmed up to the support thing, particularly for grass and elec. Apparently giga chips are huge and unconvenient; really lame but kinda understandable as it was ridiculously easy to get carried away with them in 2. So damn broken and easy to come by.

Does Rogue ever appear as a storyline boss? He's the first person you see in the intro, but hasn't been anywhere in sight up to this point. I know from reading topics that you do get to fight him, but is that just a postgame thing on the side? Kinda like how Proto FZ was in BN6?

Dialogue is as cheesy as I'd expect as is the plot/character development, though when Jack laughed at Zack being trapped in a submarine, I also laughed.

IRC is impossible at the moment and will likely stay that way for another week or two.

For support, I've mostly stuck with the program that turns all dimmed out cards in the selection screen to be AreaEater. Mostly due to the fact, that I run a Sword Folder. Consisting of BushidoSword1/2/3s and GraveJoker V1/2/3 Mega Chips. Burai does appear as a Storyline boss. He appears a few times in a Protoman sorta fashion. Appears, cues theme music saves Megaman for disaster and disappears. I do know that Burai is part of the Mega Chip Libarary. And it's not a secret Mega Chip. You actually go through a mini level with Burai and fight him right after when you complete it. He's not that hard compared to his other version. (SF2) You fight him again later in post game. Then apparently there's this super version of him, but you need all 8 symbols to fight him or something. Burai ZZ or whatever. Some people claim that it's been removed, but the capcom site says otherwise.

Shame about the IRC. I'm on vacation right now and forgot to bring my DS. :/

That's all right, we'll have time to do bro related stuff later. I don't even have noise forms yet, which judging the topics on gfaqs are the main thing that makes one a desireable bro.

By theme music I hope you mean the trademark thing that played whenever he appeared and surrounded himself with the Mu symbols to EM change. I really liked that, made him a little more badass.

I've read oh so little about it, but apparently ZZ will be DLC, how exactly and when one can acquire it, I have no idea. I'm guessing people are assuming we'll get it because of that thing on Capcom's site that says otherwise.

Aside from glancing over the card list and being mildly disappointed that some cards I liked aren't around either in virus or secret form, I'd say I like this version the most so far. If nothing else, not having to wave change in specific areas is a huge bonus, and only getting random encounters on wave roads is even better.

From the rumors that are going around, you can't really believe everything without proof. I know for one, that by taking your JAP .sav file and putting it a US game of SF3, you'll see the Noise Modification Hands and Rezon/Secret Satelite Server/Meteor Server stuff. Like wise, you can take a US .sav file, put it in a JAP game of SF3 and do the NMG to get it working. However, this and the fact that Gamestop says "additional content added" and the whole Burai ZZ/Sigma Bosses are on CoA's Megaman site, has led most people to believe that all the stuff that's missing from the US game is all DLC.

tl;dr Rumor is that whatever US is missing out onis going to be DLC.

List locations, i didn't bother reading what you wrote on Gamefaqs, sorry. >_>

So anywho, update from me.

-Beat Crimson Dragon SP (super fucking pushover compared to Andromeda SP and Ra Mu Omega)

-Beat all R Bosses under 12 seconds. (DreadJoker R and Jack Corvus was a super bitch to kill under 12 seconds)

-1000 HP get

-Help Missions All Complete

Now I'm going to farm AirShoes/FloatShoes and try to get Gemini Noise before attempting Omega bosses.

It's odd that you haven't even found a single one, especially if you've been doing stuff that has you going in and out of wave areas all the time. Even exiting a cyber core can set one off.

Do you play with the volume off? The only other person I've seen that claims they've never fought one after XX hours of playtime admitted they leave the volume off. If you don't hear the music change, you won't know to stick around.

No, I play with the volume on, and I never run away from Warning Battles. EVER. I always fight in hopes of getting Gemini Noise. >_>

Gemini is my first and only (accepted) noise change. I soft reset the cutscene with Dark Phantom over and over again until I got it.

Now, not only are WARNING fights with G viruses exceedingly rare, I haven't gotten a noise change, even a crappy one that gets denied, in a long time. I usually try to destroy V3 viruses since the high noise gets X cards, but otherwise, nothing. I really want Rogue noise and then Crown.

Unfortunately Auto Lock requires OVER NINE HUNNNDREEEEEEED LP to equip, and the max you can get with no bros is 900, so I'll never get to use it alongside Rogue. Really, the main reason I want Rogue is just to murder a few omega bosses and perhaps the sidequest bosses also, so I can then revert to Gemini or if I get Crown, keep that instead.

rogue noise is pretty awesome if you don't have wifi and you don't have to worry about breaking brother bands.
Also, how did you get auto lock, I demand to know and will hold the next poster hostage until said information is released.

Go to Dealer Hideout, pulse in (don't use the wave road terminal) and then go to the right side of the door leading into the factory. You'll warp to the wave road and be in front of a gate.

Not only do you need 3 omega pieces to unlock it, the thing takes something like 925 or 950 LP to equip, so at the very least you need a bro if you've gotten all of the ingame LP. And speaking of omega pieces...

FINALLY!

FINALLY I beat that fucking evil moss covered frankensteinian monstrosity in its omega form. I pulled no less than 5 counters out of my ass, completely unintentional but every one of them desperately needed as I reached the point where color out or not, I'd be killed if anything hit me. The 5th counter had him stunned and on the square directly in front of mine, so after I used my bonus I grabbed a Bushido and finished the job.

God that was hard. I'm resetting everytime I run into one of those freaks from now on. Now it's onto WolfWoods and then my Gemini won't have anything that can kill me in 2 hits.
